The HQ Fellowship Program

The Marriott International HQ Fellowship Program offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) fellowships in a variety of departments at Marriott International’s Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. For summer 2026, the HQ Fellowship Program will be from June 1 – August 7, 2026.  

During Marriott International’s HQ Fellowship program, Fellows will put their education to work and gain an enriching and memorable learning experience.  

Graduate students that are not pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) should not apply here and instead apply to the HQ Fellowship-Graduate Degree job posting.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $44.00.

The Fellow will leverage all technical resources available to ensure they are kept at the center of key business decisions. A critical role of the Fellow will be to understand key questions that are being (or should be) asked by the business teams, identify the appropriate solutions and business information sources (including research, analytics, and third-party information) to answer such questions, and synthesize data and insights into actionable steps to drive the business forward. 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Must be available to start on the cohort start date:  June 1, 2026  
  • Must be available to attend orientation in-person at Marriott’s HQ located in Bethesda, Maryland on June 1-3, 2026.   
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an MBA-level degree program at the start of the program and returning to their degree program in fall 2026. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

  • Education and Experience Required 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in economics, business, math, or marketing 
  • Candidate must be enrolled in first year of MBA program when applying to fellowship, and must have completed first year by June 2026 

Education and Experience Preferred 

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into insights with practical application to business needs 
  • Experience using a hypothesis-driven approach to answer a business question and identifying ways to test a hypothesis (can be as part of a team) 
  • Demonstrated quantitative acumen, including ability to use Excel to conduct basic data analysis 
  • Top-notch quantitative and analytical skills; ability to find structure, logic, and insight in complex business problems to provide meaningful conclusions particularly in a deck format 
  • Global experience and international business interest 
  • Strong project management skills and experience balancing multiple projects or responsibilities simultaneously 
  • Willingness to take the initiative to solve ambiguous or complex issues 
  • Previous work/volunteer experience or relevant coursework in identified area(s) of interest

Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of employees.  Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Managers.
