They are seeking an exceptional PhD student to join their Display Systems Research group to develop algorithms for 3D computer vision and generative imaging, collaborating with various scientists and engineers throughout the project development process.


Responsibilities

  • Conceive and develop 3D computer vision and generative imaging algorithms
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds through all stages of project development
  • Publish research results in top-tier journals and at leading international conferences

Skills

  • Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in the field of deep learning, computer vision, computer graphics or related technical fields
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by first-authored publications in SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc
  • 2+ years experience with deep learning software libraries such as PyTorch
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
  • Machine learning experience in diffusion models, neural 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, view synthesis, computational photography or related topics
  • Broad understanding of the full XR technology stack including, camera systems, graphics, near-eye display technology, and perceptual effects
  • Experience deploying machine vision and rendering algorithms in entertainment production pipelines
  • Past experience with cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
