Shift: 1st Shift
Location: New Milford School Road
Summary of Objective:
The primary function of this position is to assist the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager in maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming product deliveries. This includes receiving product in a timely manner to ensure each item has an accurate count and the proper storage methods are being met. Their duties will include unloading incoming trucks and checking the deliveries against product invoices to process all product through the JDE system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
  • Independently perform all functions of receiving for both stock and non-stock items.
  • Receive and delegate tasks to other warehouse personnel to accomplish critical tasks in a timely manner.
  • Comparing packing lists to physical inventory and ensure that the product matches the packing list.
  • Updating inventory as product is delivered processing all invoices through the JDE system.
  • Contact procurement and business unit departments to resolve any issues associate with delivered materials.
  • Receive incoming freight utilizing the JDE system and to complete all paperwork including, BOL’s, manifests, and all other customer required documents.
  • Maintain ISO standards in all functions within the warehouse.
  • Independently acquire needed information using such sources as, the computer (Internet, MasterControl, JDE), emails, phone systems.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of inventory entries and precise data recording.
  • Count or weigh materials to verify quantity.
  • Distribute processed materials (PTI, Lab, IT, etc.) and packages to the proper recipient.
  • Perform receiving duties including unloading of trucks, and visually inspecting packages for damage when needed.
  • Complete tasks as assigned and resolve day to day problems.
  • Lead assigned personnel on each shift to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
  • Implementing ways to improve or optimize warehouse receiving procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook or otherwise posted or communicated.
  • A self-starter that can work independently and coordinate with others.
  • Use scanners, tablets, radio, phones, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) experience preferred.
  • Good verbal, written, listening communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Good computer skills, detail orientated and problem solver.
  • Honest, dependable, quick learner, strong leader, positive attitude.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.

  • Organize warehouse space.
  • Perform and support all job requirements as directed by supervisor and/or manager.

  • TABE testing requirements met at approved grade level for position.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.

The hiring rate for this position is $19.96/hour - $22.46/hour plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
