Job Description

Use both text to deliver creative and thought-provoking content 

Keep up to date on relevant economic, political, industry, or policy issues that should be highlighted or referenced.

Support media relations, community projects and marketing efforts which require high-level written products. Recommend visual aids that will assist in presentations when needed. 

Set standards for a message's content, consistency and tone

Review and evaluate copy for proper use of grammar, punctuation, etc.

Build contacts to maintain a constant continuum of relevant facts.

Interview individuals to gain additional insight and record information.

Investigate media releases and/or stories related to the organization's interests.

Work with other departments to determine relevant material.

Qualifications

Excellent command of the English language

Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines

Ability to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities

A passion for women's economic opportunities

BA is mandatory. MBA preferred

Strong communicator with impeccable writing skills 

Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously

Integrity, honesty, and openness 

Good listening and skills and an ability to think creatively 

Strong leadership capabilities, with an ability to work on a team and inspire others 

Excellent presentation skill set mixed with passion and creativity
