Job Title: Virtual Arkansas Assessment ProctorReports To: Virtual Arkansas PrincipalContract Length: 180SUMMARY:The Virtual Arkansas Assessment Proctor is responsible for the observation and monitoring of student assessments. Observation and monitoring occur over a computer and an external monitor provided by Virtual Arkansas and utilize video software. The duty day will be no more than 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break. The starting and ending times may be adjusted to facilitate the test proctoring schedule. If the proctoring schedule does not call for an earlier starting time or a later ending time, the duty day will be 7:45am - 3:15pm. The Virtual Arkansas proctors are trained by Virtual Arkansas staff and must follow established procedures, practices, and protocols for the effective monitoring of student assessments. Assessment proctors must be adept in the use of computers and technology.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow testing procedures and protocol to ensure that the test is administered properly and fairlyMonitor test takers to ensure they are following testing rules and regulationsReport testing discrepancies, concerns, and violations to the appropriate school personnelExplain the rules and procedures to test takers before administering tests Ensure that any resources used during testing by test takers are authorizedMaintain the security of the testing area to prevent cheating or other forms of misconductProvide basic technology support to test takersFollow established protocols to resolve technical issues Maintain a log of test takersOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS:Paraprofessional certification/endorsement preferredAn associate's degree or above preferred Basic technology and computer use skills requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch;Use hands to handle or feel, type, and pick up objects, and reach with hands and arms;Talk or listen to communicate effectively;Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.SALARY / BENEFITS INFORMATION: Salary is commensurate with years of education and experience, ranging between $19,500- $33,900.Arkansas Teacher RetirementHealth insurance and other benefits options are offered EMPLOYMENT SITE: The person selected for this position will fulfill his/her duties from his/her home office per the terms of the VA Telework Agreement and Employee Handbook, with required periodic travel to the Arch Ford offices for essential meetings and training.DIRECT REPORTS: None
