About the position

The IoT Division at SAS is seeking an innovative intern to contribute to the development of IoT applications through research and collaboration. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying product improvement opportunities, all while working closely with R&D, Product Management, and Industry Advisory teams. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment focused on AI and IoT technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics for AI-focused topics.
  • Investigate competing or comparable market technologies to understand strengths and weaknesses and document findings.
  • Identify portfolio improvement opportunities by pinpointing potential product enhancements or partnerships.
  • Showcase cutting-edge and competitive technologies through live demonstrations that highlight their unique features and advantages.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Industry Advisory teams.

Requirements

  • Students currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, or other related field.
  • Experience with conducting market research, data analysis, and interpreting industry trends.
  • Familiarity with AI-focused technology topics to evaluate competitor products with a focus on identifying strengths and weaknesses.
  • Strong written and verbal skills for preparing reports, presentations, and collaborating with team members.
  • Competence to install and configure software, preferably leveraging Docker.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of tools for data analysis and report generation.
  • Knowledge of generative AI technology landscape including large and small language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and compute infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with Python and DevOps technology such as Git and Kubernetes.
