Under minimal supervision, responsible for data analytics and visualization for the Engineering Decision Support department.
Interfaces and coordinates with counterparts in multiple operating companies to obtain required input data for modeling and technical support.
Responsible for building database libraries and assisting with data extracts and data manipulation as needed. Conducts data analysis in support of operational and planning projects.
Manages and participates on complex projects and project phases related to the development, testing, and roll-out of new business systems, infrastructure, reports, process, data feeds and other deliverables related to the enterprise brokerage and transportation systems.
Collaborates with various departments and levels of management in designing and providing analytical capabilities via management information systems and decision support tools.

Effectively communicates with internal and external customers to capture current data management requirements and objectives from different stakeholders that define their needs

Gathers business requirements and determines most effective and efficient reporting platform

Interfaces with stakeholders to understand analytical needs for entire organization

Works with team to conduct root cause analyses and communicates improvement recommendation

Designs and develops metrics and reports, dashboards and analyses to drive key business decisions

SQL expert and general understanding of databases, relationships and data integrity concepts

Assesses opportunities and makes recommendations on business strategies and technology architecture relative to management information systems and decision support tools

Responsible for developing and implementing Data visualization best practices; manages data visualization needs and provides details roadmap to management

Conducts large scale data analysis and modeling to derive actionable insights

Reviews outputs for trends across the industry and provides effective data story telling

Collaborates with various departments and levels of management in designing and providing analytical capabilities via management information systems and decision support tools

Performs other duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree/equivalent in engineering, data analytics, computer software or related technical or quantitative discipline.

Five (5) years experience in data analytics, data management and/or engineering

Excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation, project management, SQL, data analytics tools (e.g. SAS), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, SAS VA, Spotfire)

Excellent human relations, organizational/time management and communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.  The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $6,706.12 - $12,724.41 USD Monthly
