Job Desription

Working under general supervision, this role collaborates closely with solution architects, system engineers, and platform specialists to design, develop, and enhance data-driven software capabilities. The engineer will contribute to the planning, design, development, and utilization of modern software frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with cloud and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Python, React and TypeScript, cloud-based data engineering environments, and hands-on development in Palantir Foundry (highly preferred). This role requires a mix of front-end development, data engineering, platform integration, and pipeline orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with team mates, conduct requirements analysis and determine end-user technical needs.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using Python, React & TypeScript.
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot complex data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data workflows.
  • Collaborate with hardware, data, and cloud engineering teams to optimize system performance.
  • Develop and integrate applications within Palantir Foundry (ontology, pipelines, operational apps).
  • Create and manage data models, ontology components, and semantic relationships.
  • Implement secure and scalable code aligned with cloud architectures (AWS/Azure).
  • Develop interactive dashboards, UI components, and operational tools.
  • Integrate ML and AI models into operational environments when required.
  • Apply DevSecOps best practices, version control, and CI/CD pipeline workflows.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure data quality, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Document solution designs, data flows, and implementation details.

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold a current Secret Clearance
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience with machine learning, data engineering, or platform-based AI delivery
  • Strong proficiency with React & TypeScript
  • Proficient in Python for data and pipeline development
  • Experience with:
    • SQL and database technologies
    • JavaScript/ES6+
    • PySpark/Spark and large-scale data processing
    • Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration
  • Front-end UI/UX concepts and component-based design
  • Data visualization and analytics capabilities

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry
    • Pipeline Builder
    • Foundry Ontology
    • Application & workflow development
  • Ability to build low-code/no-code operational apps in Foundry
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Experience implementing security, access controls, and best practices within enterprise systems
  • Understanding of ML model deployment and inference workflows
