As a Security Officer - Front Desk Tech/Media in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. By remaining attentive and approachable, you will help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a culture of teamwork, integrity, and innovation that Allied Universal values. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access control systems, verify identification, and manage visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with emergency personnel and coordinating with building management.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, addressing inquiries and/or concerns from individuals entering the premises.
  • Communicate important information and/or incidents to Allied Universal management and site contacts as required.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
