Shifts range between 8-10 hours per day and shifts are available 7 days per week.  You can plan on working about 4-5 days a week.  Must be flexible.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and new Year's Day we are closed).

Main Purpose of Job:

This is a key customer-facing role, reliably and respectfully representing the company, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.  The Delivery Associate - Walker, as a field representative of the company, must be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with excellent experience, every time. The Delivery Associate - Walker deliver parcels to customer instructions up to 50 pounds, safely, and efficiently to designated locations within Queens within a set timeframe.

Compensation:

$18.25/hour, paid time off and Tickets At Work group discount program

Essential Job  Responsibilities:

  • Load hand trucks and deliver packages (up to 50 lbs) by foot in all weather conditions, efficiently, safely, and punctually
  • Follow strict safety standards and practices throughout all delivery stages from package pickup, transport, and delivery
  • Operate an electronic device/mobile phone for GPS and daily records of deliveries using apps
  • Contact the customers, when necessary, in order to deliver their packages in a safe location and follow their direction
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • You can expect to report to one of several Anchor Points to pick up your first route and then meet at 2 additional anchor points timely 
  • We provide on-the-job training so that all of our employees feel confident on the streets and the doorsteps of customers.

Qualifications

Role  Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to read and speak English, for safety reasons
  • Have a valid, non-expired State ID or Driver’s License (New York City cards are NOT acceptable)
  • Must be physically capable of moving boxes up to 50 lbs. and push a large hand cart throughout the streets of Queens, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Consent to a drug test.
  • Familiarity with a smart phone as you will need to communicate constantly with your driver/dispatchers and use digital apps for delivering packages
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player. Come to work on time and be respectful towards your managers and team members
  • Must be willing to work on holidays and weekends, when needed.
