Vehicle provided for you! Non-CDL delivery driver!

Shifts range between 8-10 hours per day and shifts are available 7 days per week.  You can plan on working about 4-5 days a week.  Must be flexible.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays. (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day we are closed).

Compensation:

$23.75/hour, paid time off, and Tickets At Work group discount program

Main Purpose of Job:

This is a key customer-facing role, reliably and respectfully representing the company, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.  The Delivery Associate, as a field representative of the company, must be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with excellent experience, every time. The Delivery Associate - Driver drives a “Sprinter-type” vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 10,000 pounds to deliver parcels up to 70 pounds, safely, and efficiently to designated locations within Queens and Brooklyn within a set timeframe.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Enjoy driving and be passionate about customer service
  • Must be able to operate and navigate a delivery van, GVWR 10,000 lbs. or less
  • Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours long
  • Must have good vision, with or without reasonable accommodation, to see details at a distance and up close
  • Capacity to frequently shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information for up to 12 hours per day
  • Capability to quickly respond to changing traffic and weather conditions
  • Must be able to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move boxes up to 70 pounds each, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Capability to operate technology such as handheld devices, software programs, and navigation guides
  • Skilled in time-management and communication via written, oral, and listening to understand and be understood

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive a delivery van to drop off Amazon packages to customers within our operating community
  • Follow strict safety standards, on and off the road
  • Interact with Amazon customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • Use handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles
  • Load, sort, and prepare a delivery route to meet customer promise
  • Inspect your Company vehicle a minimum of twice daily to ensure safe operation
  • Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times
  • Assist other Delivery Team Members in completing deliveries to exceed customer expectation
  • May assist in training other team members
  • Communicates with customers by phone or text to alert to delivery arrival
  • Maintains communication with management to be informed of any change of delivery, route, or schedule
  • Informs management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time
  • Managing the daily work plan
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
  • Daily end of route de-brief and return of minimal undeliverable parcels
  • Make safety a priority at all times
  • Track and report working hours
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
