Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Remote Podcast Community Moderator to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in Mafikeng, North West. As a Podcast Community Moderator, you will be the bridge between our podcast creators and their listeners, fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive environment. You will be responsible for upholding community guidelines, facilitating discussions, addressing user queries, and identifying trends within our diverse podcast communities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all members feel heard, valued, and connected, enhancing their overall experience on the Spotify platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively moderate and manage discussions across various podcast community platforms (forums, social media, comments sections).
  • Enforce community guidelines and policies to maintain a respectful and safe environment.
  • Engage with community members, initiating conversations, responding to comments, and encouraging participation.
  • Identify and report emerging trends, user feedback, and potential issues to relevant internal teams.
  • Address user inquiries, provide support, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate online events, Q&As, and discussions with podcast creators.
  • Monitor content for compliance with intellectual property rights and community standards.
  • Contribute to the development of community strategies and moderation best practices.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in online community management or social media moderation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics and user behavior.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms and community management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Empathy, patience, and strong conflict resolution skills.
  • A genuine passion for podcasts and digital audio content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting on community engagement metrics.
