The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Edgerton, KS on-site<br><br><strong>Work Schedule:</strong> Monday-Friday 1st shift 7am-3pm with the ability to work before and after scheduled hours with a rare Saturday on an as needed basis<br><br><strong>Travel Specifics:</strong> 0%<br><br><strong>Competitive Compensation</strong>: Attractive annual salary of $82,000-$92,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong><br><ul><li>Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.</li><li>Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives.</li><li>Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met.</li><li>Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.</li><li>Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.</li><li>Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.</li><li>Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime and retention.</li><li>Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause, corrective action and training needs.</li><li>Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements.</li><li>Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports.</li><li>Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our associates and customer.</li></ul><br><br><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li>5+ years direct people management experience and comprehensive knowledge in a high volume fast paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation environment</li><li>High volume e-commerce experience</li><li>Strong background in both inbound or outbound</li><li>Critical thinking, problem solving and reasoning skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and other metrics measurement tools</li><li>Strong presentation, writing and speaking proficiency</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment</li></ul><br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain or Logistics or business-related field preferred</li><li>3PL experience</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish</li><li>Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred</li></ul>
