As a Jail Service Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our community by overseeing the care and custody of inmates in our jail facility. Maintain the safety and security of inmates in the jail facility. Oversee the care and custody of inmates, ensuring that all procedures and protocols are followed. Communicate effectively with inmates, colleagues, and other law enforcement personnel. Conduct regular inspections of cells and common areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with regulations. Monitor inmate behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent conflicts or disturbances. Maintain accurate records and documentation of inmate activities and incidents. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations. Work closely with other members of the law enforcement team to coordinate inmate transfers and court appearances. Provide support to other jail staff and assist with daily operations as needed. Uphold the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards at all times. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. Utilize problem-solving skills to address conflicts and challenges within the jail facility. Stay up-to-date on all policies, procedures, and regulations related to inmate care and custody. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
