About the Role:

Are you an early-career technical writer with a passion for healthcare technology and a strong foundation in writing clear, user-focused documentation? We are seeking an Associate Technical Writer to support the creation and maintenance of content for our healthcare applications. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of documentation projects—from user guides and help content to internal SOPs and release notes. You’ll collaborate closely with senior writers, product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to help ensure that our content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with user needs and industry regulations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in developing and updating documentation for healthcare software products, including user manuals, quick reference guides, SOPs, and online help

  • Work with senior technical writers and cross-functional teams to gather, verify, and organize technical information

  • Help ensure documentation aligns with product features, user workflows, and healthcare-specific standards

  • Contribute to maintaining documentation repositories, file versioning, and structured content templates

  • Participate in product development and Agile sprint meetings to stay informed about upcoming features and documentation needs

  • Edit and proofread technical documents to ensure clarity, grammar, and consistency

  • Learn and apply industry best practices for writing in regulated environments, including HIPAA compliance and accessibility standards

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience)

  • 0–2 years of experience in technical writing, content development, or a related field (internships or academic projects welcome)

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

  • Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or basic HTML editors

  • Interest in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, or health IT systems

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow established guidelines

  • Eagerness to learn from senior team members and grow within a structured, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to or interest in EHR/EMR systems, HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare technologies

  • Familiarity with tools such as MadCap Flare, Confluence, Adobe FrameMaker, or Git (basic knowledge is sufficient)

  • Experience working in Agile or software development environments (including academic or internship experience)

  • Awareness of accessibility or usability standards (e.g., WCAG)
