About the position

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategy for overall pharmacy department success and motivate staff as the pharmacist-on-duty.
  • Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients and empower staff through counseling and building personalized relationships.
  • Mentor, train, and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team, tailoring developmental opportunities to meet individual needs.
  • Inspire the team to be accountable for pharmacy goals and champion the execution of programs and processes.
  • Manage department performance, including scheduling and assigning tasks for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by understanding metrics related to sales and service in the pharmacy.
  • Be regarded as an expert on pharmacy technology systems for prescription processing.
  • Manage medication inventory and mentor others on best practices to maximize sales and minimize shrink.
  • Advance pharmacy clinical initiatives such as Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations.
  • Participate in community events to meet local health and preventative care needs.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet customer needs.
  • Assist in all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
  • Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
  • Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to health insurance program participation.
  • Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Be an immunizing pharmacist or scheduled to become one in the next training classes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems.
  • Numerical and financial aptitude.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
