About PSA Airlines: PSA Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is a vital part of the American Eagle regional network. We operate an all-CRJ fleet (CRJ-700 and CRJ-900) connecting passengers to American's global network from our primary hubs. We are known for our 'safety-first' culture, exceptional reliability, and a vibrant, supportive team environment. We are seeking energetic, professional, and customer-service-oriented individuals to join our team as 'Entry Level' Flight Attendants based in Charlotte, NC (CLT). 'No experience' in aviation is required. We provide one of the industry's best, paid training programs to give you the skills and confidence to become a world-class safety and service professional. Your New Career – The Role: As a PSA Flight Attendant, you are the face of American Eagle in the cabin. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of every passenger on board. This is a dynamic role that requires a balance of authority, confidence, and genuine hospitality. You will be responsible for everything from pre-flight safety checks and FAA-mandated demonstrations to in-flight service and handling any in-flight emergencies, both medical and security-related. This is not a 9-to-5 job; it requires a 'high degree of flexibility' and availability to work a 24/7 schedule, including 'day shift' trips, 'night shift' (redeye) flights, 'weekend shift' duties, and holidays. Your professionalism ensures our passengers have a safe and pleasant journey. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: Your career begins with our intensive, 4-week, paid training program held at our state-of-the-art training center. This comprehensive program is designed to take you from 'no experience' to a fully-certified FAA safety professional. The curriculum is challenging and includes: * 'Aircraft Systems & Safety Equipment:' You will learn the CRJ-700 and CRJ-900 inside and out, from door operation and galley functions to the location and use of all emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, PBEs, AEDs). * 'Emergency Procedures:' You will be rigorously trained in hands-on, realistic simulations for all potential emergencies, including evacuations (land and water), in-flight fires, and depressurization. * 'First Aid & Medical Response:' You will be certified in CPR, AED, and advanced first aid to confidently handle passenger medical events. * 'Service Excellence:' You will learn the 'American Airlines' service standards, including beverage and snack service, first-class cabin service, and customer care. * 'Conflict Resolution:' You will gain skills to manage difficult passenger interactions and de-escalate conflict while maintaining a professional demeanor. * 'FAA Regulations:' You will learn and be tested on the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) that govern your role. Successful completion of this training, including passing all exams and drills, is a mandatory requirement to earn your wings. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is fast-paced and ever-changing. It begins long before the first passenger boards: * 'Pre-Flight:' You'll arrive at the CLT crew room for your 'day shift' check-in, 1-2 hours before departure. You'll join your flight crew (Captain, First Officer, and fellow Flight Attendant) for a detailed briefing covering flight plans, weather, passenger manifests (noting first-class passengers and any special needs), and any safety considerations. You will then board the aircraft to conduct your pre-flight safety checks, meticulously inspecting all emergency equipment and ensuring the cabin is clean and catered. * 'Boarding:' You'll greet passengers with a warm, professional presence, assisting them with carry-on baggage, seating, and answering questions. You will manage the boarding process efficiently and ensure all safety tasks are completed before the door closes. * 'In-Flight:' Once airborne, your primary role remains safety. You'll conduct compliance checks and monitor the cabin. You will then perform your in-flight service, serving beverages and snacks to all passengers with a focus on 'hospitality and professionalism'. You are a problem-solver, a first responder, and a customer service agent, all at 30,000 feet. * 'Post-Flight:' Upon landing, you'll manage a safe and orderly deplaning. You'll then conduct a final cabin sweep for lost items and security checks. Your day may consist of 3-5 short flights ('legs') and end with a 'night shift' arrival, either back at your home base or in an overnight city (layover), where you check into a company-provided hotel to rest. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Flexibility: This is not a typical office job. Your schedule is built on seniority and requires 24/7 availability. As a new 'entry-level' Flight Attendant, you will start on 'reserve.' This means you are on-call, ready to be assigned a trip at a moment's notice. You must live within driving distance of your assigned base (CLT) and be able to report to the airport quickly. Your schedule will include 'day shift,' 'night shift,' 'weekend shift,' and holiday assignments. While this demands flexibility, it also offers it—you may work a 4-day trip and then have 3 days off. This lifestyle is perfect for those who thrive on variety. Why PSA? We are a 'fast-growing' regional airline with a clear 'career path'. PSA offers a unique 'flow-through' program that provides a direct path to a mainline pilot career at American Airlines, but we also promote from within for our Inflight, Maintenance, and Operations teams. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and excellent travel privileges on the American Airlines global network. If you are a disciplined, resilient, and positive person with a deep commitment to safety and service, we invite you to apply.
