Here, you will make an impact by:</p><ul><li><p>Driving sales growth and customer retention in a dynamic territory to exceed sales forecasts for Abrasive Systems Division products within the Industrial Marketplace</p></li><li><p>Developing and adjusting sales strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines</p></li><li><p>Focusing on division specific initiatives such as new product introductions and specific target markets</p></li><li><p>Working cross functionally with other business disciplines</p></li><li><p>Delivering attainment on key sales objectives and CRM execution</p></li><li><p>Supporting and engaging channel, end users, and key accounts with daily sales calls on medium and large customers in corner office meetings and production floor interaction</p></li><li><p>Preparing and conducting presentations/product demos at distributor partner and end user customer locations (business reviews, product trainings, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Collaborating with 3M support network to maximize partnership with customers</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Company Vehicle</b></p><p>This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.</p><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise</b> </p><p>To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)</p></li><li><p>Four (4) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment</p></li><li><p>Current, valid Driver’s License.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p><ul><li><p>Previous sales experience with end users in industrial distribution</p></li><li><p>Industrial field sales experience including but not limited to selling abrasives.</p></li><li><p>Key account management experience working with multi location customers.</p></li><li><p>Experience calling on and managing corner office executive level relationships.</p></li><li><p>Experience managing a complex channel landscape within accounts over $1M.</p></li><li><p>Presentation skills, CRM (Salesforce.com), written and verbal communication, business planning, sales, and competitive testing</p></li><li><p>Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work location: </b></p><ul><li><p>Sales territory will cover Central/Southern CT, NYC, Long Island</p></li><li><p>Preferred candidate location - CT</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel: May include up to 30% domestic</b></p><p><b>Relocation Assistance: May be authorized</b></p><p></p><p><b>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</b></p><p></p><p><b>Supporting Your Well-being</b> </p><p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
